Chapter 2: The Meeting

Valeria was anxiously bouncing her leg up and down as she fiddled with the hems of her sleeves as she watched the scenery go by out the window. “Brother, what if they don’t like me?” Valeria asked as she looked at her brother moving her gaze away from the window and to Arthur’s face.

“Valeria, you will be fine just stick with me or Alfred, and you will be okay.” Arthur tells her as he lifted his hand to brush away some of her hair that was lying limply onto her cheek.

“Okay.” Valeria says as they soon began to come to a halt and they were in front of the giant building in which various of other countries were currently waiting for their arrival. Arthur was the first to move out of the car before looking back at Valeria and gave her a reassuring smile and held his hand out for him to take.

Valeria looked at the hand out stretched to her then back at her brother before taking the hand and exited the car. It was fairly quiet their was a few government officials walking around but other than that none seemed to have arrived yet.

“Come this way, Valeria. Don’t fall behind.” Arthur told her gently before leading her into the building where Alfred was most likely waiting for everyone to arrive. Walking down the hallway Valeria saw various paintings of presidents and artworks that hung throughout the building.

“Wow I did not know Alfred has so many nice artworks.” Valeria commented but Arthur did not say anything in response but kept moving her forward down the hall before they arrived at two giant bay doors where a man in all black stood guarding the door.

Arthur went towards the bulky man and showed him his ID before nudging at Valeria to do the same once they were cleared the bulky man moved to open the door for the both of them.

“Thank you sir.” Valeria said before moving inside the room with Arthur. She had saw that there was only four other arrivals. It was Japan or Kiku, Germany or , Italy or and the host Alfred.

“Good afternoon.” Japan greeted with a small bow.

“Good afternoon, Kiku, My name is Valeria or Singapore.” Valeria introduced before looking over at Italy who gave her an airy smile.

“I’m Italy or rather, Feliciano Vargas.” Italy said happily holding his hand out to Valerie, who quickly took it into a firm handshake. “ This grumpy puss here is my Friend Germany, you can call him Ludwig.”

Germany looked at the shorter brown haired man with an irritated look before punching the other on top of his head, “Who said I was your friend.”
“So we are not friends?” Feliciano asked as tears streamed down his cheeks Ludwig flinched as he averted his gaze away from him before mumbling something that only Feliciano catched and he was now jumping up and down excited.

Valeria stared at the two with a smile and thought, ‘Maybe today will not be too bad.’ It was a hour before the next guest had arrived. First thing that Valeria noticed was that he made a beeline directly towards Japan.

“Brother how are you doing?” A man with jet black hair asked as his hair was pulled back into a low ponytail and he wore traditional chinese clothing. Kiku looked disgruntled before replying to other male.

“I’m doing just fine, Yao.” Kiku said before moving to walk away from the other but the other made a move to block his path.

“Why don’t you stay and talk to me some more.” Yao suggested smiling at the other, Valeria noticing Kiku hesitance she walked over to introduce herself to the other.

“Excuse me,” Valeria interrupted gaining Yao’s attention.

“Yes, how may I help you?” Yao asked nicely smiling at the young woman before him.

“My name is Valeria Kirkland, or Singapore it is a pleasure to meet you.” Valeria said with a slight bow before holding her hand out to him.

“Oh I see, My name Wang Yao, or China but I must insist on you calling me Yao.” China introduced returning the bow and gave her a hand shake. Soon as they shook hand a man who bared a striking resemblance to her brother America came into the room holding a light brown bear.

“Yo Matthew it been a while.” She heard he brother say as he came to wrap a arm around the other.

“Ah Alfred how have you been?” Matthew asked as he smiled at his look alike.

“I been feeling very Heroic what about you?” Alfred asked, just as the other was about to reply France came busting into the door.

“Greeting everyone, Francis, or France has arrived!” France said as he spotted Valeria and quickly went over to her. “Helllo My lady, my name is Francis it is a pleasure to meet you.”

“Hello. My name is Valeria Kirkland, or Singapore.” Valeria introduced to the flirtatious man.

“Hey get away from here shitty Frenchmen.” Arthur said as as he came rush over to her standing in front of her protectively.

“What are you getting in my way for Arthur, unless you like her as well why are you always after my women.” Francis said glaring at the other as Valeria slowly moved away from the two of them.

Next to arrive was, Austria or Roderick, Australlia or Kyle, Belgium or Emma arrived next. Emma was kind and sweet to talk to with Valeria.

It took another hour before Greece or Herakles and Turkey or Sadik came in arguing at each other but Greece ignored him and went to talk to Japan.

Next was Cuba or Carlos, Denmark or Abel and Egypt or Gupta. Arrived Cuba glared at America from a distance as the other two went to take a seat at the table.

Then Estonia or Eduard, Finland or Tino, Lavtia or Raivas came in along with Russia or Ivan. America went towards Estonia and asked him to play the piano for some entertainment in which he did.

Hong Kong or Li Xiao Chun arrived along with Hungary or Elizabeta, and Iceland or Emil. Li Xiao Chun went to get food at the buffet. As Elizabeta went to go talk with Austria while Emil went to sit at the table.

Liechtenstein or Erika came in by herself smiling as Valeria came up to greet her. “My name is Liechtenstien or Erika it a pleasure to meet you.”

“My name is Valeria Kirkland or Singapore and the pleasure is all mine.” Valeria said smiling, “Do you want a drink?” she asked. Liechtenstien nodded her head before they went to get a drink.

As they were getting drinks Poland or Feliks had arrived with Lithuania or Toris, and the Netherlands or Tim.

Not long after them Norway or Lukas came rushing through the door panting as he thought he was late to the event.

Soon  Sealand or Peter came in followed by South Italy or Lovino and South Korea, Im Yong Soo as well as Spain or Antonio and Sweden or Berwald. Lovino went to go speak with his brother, as the other just went to sit at the table.

After them, Switzerland or Basch came with the last or stragglers, Tawain or Lin Yi Ling and Ukraine or Irina came in.

“Wow this is a lot of people, many are so big and cool.” Valeria said as she watched them interact with each other. Valeria slowly walked to the bay doors because she had to go used the restroom as she reached for the door the busted open and she jumped back as her hand was smacked back as man with short silver hair came storming into the room where a tradition blue military outfit as their was a small bird laying on the top of his head.

“The Awesomest person has arrive, You may know me as Prussia or the Great Gilbert Beilschmidt.” Gilbert introduced as he let out a maniacal laughter.

“No way I’m Awesomer than you are. “ Valeria said unable to stop herself from speaking out.

Prussia stopped and looked at the woman before her and asked, “Who are you supposed to be?”

“My name is Valeria Kirkland or Singapore.” Valeria said staring at him with as much intensity.
