Chapter 13: The Path I choose

Conner took a deep breath as he walked into Mt. Justice. "Conner!" M'gann screeched, his name echoing through the hall as she came flying at him.

"Hey M'gann, guys," Conner said as he looked from her and at his teammates.

"Why are you here Conner?" Kaldur asked surprised.

"I wanted to tell you all that I decided to stay as a superhero as well as Lex's son. He agreed that he wouldn't meddle in the affairs of the Justice League unless he feels like your methods are not giving what is best for the world," Conner tells them.

"Will you still go to Happy Harbor High?" M'gann asked him, worried.

"Of course, I would never leave you M'gann." Conner gave her a smile.

"Conner, we understand that you wish to stay with Luthor." Black Canary said as she, Batman, and Superman made their appearance.

"I understand that I can never give you the father's love you need but I will be here to be your mentor," Superman tells him.

"Thank you, Superman," Conner replied him. Everyone looked at him, surprised at how fast Conner forgave him.

"Look at Supes, Robin. He's mellowing," Wally said putting an arm around his best friend's shoulder.

"Yeah, he is," Robin agreed as he watched his mentor scan Conner to see if there were any bugs on him. Everyone was glad to have Superboy back.
